Can an Incarcerated Individual Be Served at a Courthouse?

A Court Appearance May Provide Another Opportunity for Service

 

An incarcerated individual may be transported to court for an unrelated proceeding.

 

In some circumstances, a courthouse service attempt may be considered.

 

If you know that the individual is scheduled to appear, provide:

We can then discuss whether a courthouse attendance may be practical.

 

However, a scheduled court appearance does not guarantee access to the individual or completion of service.
